Each of these stakes comes with a plastic adapter that makes it easy to use a plastic water bottle (up to a two-liter) as a reservoir. The adapter works with both small and large bottles making these stakes excellent for house, container and garden plants.
There are two basic adapters, each having a different advantage:
- Threaded bottle adapters (RPB series) have the lowest profile and are good for small plants, but they also work with bottles up to two liters. This adapter type does require bottles with a matching threaded neck. Don’t worry about finding one that fits, they are plentiful!
- Push-on bottle adapters (QPB series) do not require a threaded connection. Simply push the bottle onto the adapter firmly. That’s it.
Additionally, plastic bottles may be used with these products:
- Our patented Adjustable adapters (APB series) stake offers the maximum in watering control. Its friction-fit push-on adapter has a click and set feature that simultaneously adjusts the water flow and how long the water in the reservoir will last.
- Our “EZ Fill” (PST series) stakes use an open topped plastic bottle as a reservoir. These can be filled quickly with a watering can or a hose for. They connect to bottles directly with a friction fit push-on adapter.
