Watering smaller plants using recycled plastic bottles

Plastic bottles come in a myriad of sizes. Select a bottle size that looks good with your smaller plant, and not so large that it might tip the plant over.  Every Recycle a Plastic Bottle stake set comes with a bottle adapter to join the stake and bottle into a stable unit that will be leak and spill free.

Choose our standard RPB series products [make a link] to connect with standard beverage bottle cap threads.

Choose our “Quick Connect” QPB series [make a link] for stakes with a friction fit adapter that fits almost all beverage bottles without requiring a thread match. This adapter is slightly taller than our RPB series.

Choose our patented adjustable APB series [make a link] for maximum watering control. Its friction fit adapter has a click and set feature that simultaneously adjusts the water flow and how long the water in the reservoir will last. This adapter is also slightly taller than our RPB series.

Or choose our “EZ Fill” PST series [make a link] that works with open topped reservoirs. These stakes live up to their name. Use a watering can for houseplants, or use a hose for patio and garden plants. Create a perfect reservoir for your plant simply by cutting off the bottom of a plastic bottle with scissors. Each stake comes with an easy-to-follow guide to cutting plastic bottles safely.

Watering smaller plants using our fluted glass globes

For small plants, we recommend using our 12-ounce Spiral fluted Finial Globe and Stake sets.  The globes measure 3 ½ inches in diameter and hold 12 ounces of water in a compact shape. Globes have a stem that fits directly into the stake.  They are made from high-quality glass and each one is skillfully hand blown. Besides adding a nice design touch, the finial on top makes a useful handle when you refill the globe.  Every globe and stake set comes with a use and care booklet
